About Our Pastor
Pastor David L. Jones was born and raised in N.C. and was saved in 1975 at an area wide revival meeting. In 1982 he married his high school sweetheart Sharon and began their family. In 1988 he felt the call on his life to preach the gospel. After traveling in music ministry for 3 yrs, the Lord led he and his family in 1991 to go to Kansas to establish New Testament Baptist churches. In 1992, Pastor Jones established Bethel Baptist Church in Columbus , KS. In 1996, Pastor Jones moved his family to Atwood KS and established Atwood Baptist Church. While in Atwood, a door was opened to established the McCook Baptist Church in McCook, Nebraska in 2001. In 2008, after much prayer, Pastor Jones came to Garden City KS to rebuild the Faith Baptist Church. Pastor Jones has founded and operated Mid-West Church Planting Ministry, a local church ministry consisting of old-fashioned tent crusades, youth rallies, vacaction bible schools and church planting efforts. Pastor David & Sharon Jones have three children Christopher & Bethany Jones, children Micah, Josiah & Rebekah, Jesse & Erin (Jones) Gosnell, sons Taylor and Kaleb, and Sarah Jones.
Pastor Jones received his Bachelor's & Masters of Theology degree from Andersonville Baptist Seminary and is currently completing his studies for his Doctorate in Pastoral Theology.
