What We Believe

Concerning God
We believe in one God, creator of heaven and earth. We believe in the unity of the Godhead made up of Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that each one are equal in power and glory yet distinct in their personality and office.

Concerning Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the virgin born only begotten Son of God. We believe that he is God in the flesh according to John 1:14 and that he came to die on the cross of Calvary for the sin of mankind.  We believe that he was crucified, buried and resurrected three days later.  We believe that he rose bodily and ascended into heaven.  We believe he will call his church out from this world in a pre-millenial rapture and
that he will return again according to scripture to set up his kingdom on earth and reign for 1000 actual years.

Concerning The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and that he executes the plan of God for our conviction and salvation.  Christians are partakers of his presence and empowered for service by him.  We do not believe that the sign gifts are for today and that the Spirit works in the hearts and lives of man to lead them in a closer and more seperated walk with the Lord.

Concerning The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments is the complete, inerrant, infallible, verbally inspired revelation from God.  We believe that the Authorized King James Bible is God's preserved word for the English speaking people.  We reject other versions and translations as authentic and authorized.

Concerning Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God, and by choice, fell into sin and death.  Because of this, every person is sinful and under condemnation to eternal judgment.

Concerning Salvation
We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace, and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.  The conditon of salvation is repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross of Calvary.  We believe that all men have a choice but that no man comes to God except he be drawn by God.  We believe that salvation produces a new creature for God's glory.

Concerning The Church
We believe that the church is a visible body of called out, born again, baptized believers set apart from the world to carry out the business of God, practicing New Testament principles, believing its doctrine, observing its ordinances and exercising its autonomy.  We believe that there are only two ordinances of the local New Testament church, and that is baptism and the Lord's supper. We believe that the scriptures teach that Christian baptism is the single immersion of a believer in water, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  This signifies the believers relationship with the crucified, buried and risen Christ, thus illustrating his death to sin and resurrection to new life.  It is a prerequisite to membership and privileges in a local New Testament Church.
We believe that the Lord's Supper is for believers of like faith only and that just as baptism should be administered under the authority and discipline of the local church.

Concerning The Security of The Believer
We believe that those who recieve Jesus Christ as Saviour are eternally secure.  We do not believe that a person can lose their relationship with God but can lose fellowship by following after sin.  We do believe that the finished work of Christ on the cross gives us assurance as a child of God forever.

Concerning Heaven and Hell
We believe in the eternal blessedness of the saved in Heaven and the eternal punishment of the lost in Hell.  We believe that both places are real in their existence.  Heaven is a place prepared for God and his people.  Hell was never meant for mankind, but for the devil, Satan, and his angels.  But because of sin man has made himself available for this eternal place of torment.
